Historical Development of Our School

bulletEstablished on April 24th, 1921: Initially named Jingliao Public School Houpi Branch, temporarily located at Shangqiudian Baosheng Emperor Temple.
bullet Became independent on April 1st, 1922: Renamed as Houpi Public School, still temporarily located at Shangqiudian Baosheng Emperor Temple.
bullet Achieved independence on November 27th, 1923: Renamed as Houpi Public School, relocated to No. 195, Houpi Village, Houpi Township (current location).
bulletRenamed as Houpi National School on April 1st, 1945.
bulletRenamed as Tainan County Houpi Township First National School on March 1st, 1946.
bulletRenamed as Tainan County Houpi Township Houpi National School on March 1st, 1947.
bulletDesignated as Tainan County Model National School on August 1st, 1959.
bulletEstablished Yong'an Branch School (four classes) on August 1st, 1961, with the branch located at Shangqiudian.
bulletDesignated as a Key Support National School by the Department of Education on August 1st, 1962.
bulletYong'an Branch School became independent on August 1st, 1962, named Houpi Township Yong'an National School.
bulletRenamed as Tainan County Houpi Township Houpi National Elementary School on August 1st, 1968.
bulletOn December 25th, 2010, after the merger of Tainan County and Tainan City, the school was renamed as Tainan City Houpi District Houpi National Elementary School.
